Strategy, operations and technology consulting for Inland Empire businesses, in person.
Abrams & Luchanski is a San Diego consulting firm, founded in 2024, that takes on strategy, operations and technology work in person for businesses in Riverside and San Bernardino counties, from Ontario and Rancho Cucamonga to Riverside, Corona and Temecula, with the rest of each engagement run remotely. Riverside County added about 127,000 residents between the 2020 Census and July 2025. Goods movement is one of the region’s defining industries; San Bernardino County alone recorded about $13.5 billion in transportation and warehousing receipts in 2022. This page covers that economy, what it tends to mean for operations and technology, and how we run an engagement for a business anywhere between Ontario and the Temecula Valley.
Need AI or software built? AI & software development in Inland Empire, by Nexos
Abrams & Luchanski is headquartered in San Diego. We meet clients in person across Southern California — San Diego County, Orange County, Los Angeles County, the Inland Empire, the Coachella Valley, and Ventura and Santa Barbara counties — and work remotely with businesses everywhere else in California and the United States.
Goods movement, growth and a lot of ground.
The two counties together are home to roughly 4.77 million people by the Census Bureau’s July 2025 estimates. Riverside County counted 2,418,185 residents at the April 2020 Census and an estimated 2,544,916 by July 2025, a difference of about 127,000 between the two Census Bureau figures. San Bernardino County, by far the larger in land area, reached an estimated 2.22 million.
Goods movement is a major industry here: the Census Bureau recorded about $13.5 billion in transportation and warehousing receipts in San Bernardino County in 2022. Ontario International Airport, in San Bernardino County, handled 793,371 tons of freight alongside more than seven million passengers in 2024.
It is not only warehouses. In southwest Riverside County, the Temecula Valley Winegrowers Association counts nearly 50 wineries growing more than 30 varieties — a wine and hospitality economy that brings its own mix of production, retail, events and tourism businesses.

Volume, turnover and distance.
Warehousing, distribution and the trucking and service businesses around them run at high volume on thin margins. The operational questions are about throughput and accuracy: how orders flow from a customer’s system into the warehouse, how exceptions are caught, how quickly a problem shipment is noticed, and whether labour is planned against real demand or last month’s guess. Small improvements multiply across a lot of transactions.
Population growth brings a second wave of businesses — builders, trades, healthcare, services — that are growing faster than their back offices. And the region is large: many companies run several sites far enough apart that information moves by phone call and spreadsheet. For them, getting every site on the same numbers is a sensible first gain.
- 01Process improvement
For distribution and logistics operators, finding where orders stall and exceptions are caught late — the constraint that actually limits throughput — before spending on new systems.
- 02Integration and automation, through Nexos
Connecting customer orders, warehouse, carrier and billing systems so data moves without re-keying, with monitoring that flags a failed hand-off instead of letting it sit.
- 03Organizational improvement
Companies that added sites and headcount quickly often need roles, reporting lines and decision rights redrawn around the business they have become.
- 04Growth and operating strategy
For wine-country and hospitality businesses balancing production, direct sales and events, deciding where the next dollar of growth should come from and what the operation needs to carry it.
These are the services the region’s industry mix tends to call for — reasoning from the economy above, not a list of past engagements. All services
On site at each location that matters.
For an Inland Empire business, discovery is done in person and, where there are several sites, at more than one of them — because comparing how two warehouses or two branches run the same process shows where one of them is losing time. We plan those visits as full days so the whole operation can be seen, not just the head office.
The build and the change work then run remotely, with a weekly check-in call and on-site sessions for acceptance testing, training and anything that needs eyes on the floor. The region is large, so the visit plan is agreed as part of the paid engagement rather than improvised along the way.
How the work runs
- Free technology audit. A call, then a written audit that ranks what in your business is worth building or automating.
- Fixed-scope proposal. What will be built, what is left out and the price, in writing before any work starts.
- The build. A weekly check-in call, a shared progress board showing what is done, what is next and what is waiting on you, and working software to try early.
The free technology audit is a call and a written audit, wherever you are, Southern California included. In Southern California, on-site sessions (workshops, discovery at your premises, design reviews, acceptance testing and training) are part of a paid build, not the free audit.
Who does the work. Aidan Luchans founded Abrams & Luchanski in San Diego in 2024, and designed and built the Nexos Platform, a multi-tenant AI operations platform: AI agents, multi-step workflows with human approval, connections to roughly 90 business tools, and private knowledge search. Aidan leads both the firm’s advisory work and Nexos’s engineering, so the person who scopes a project also builds it. About Aidan Luchans

Inland Empire questions, answered.
- I
Are you based in the Inland Empire?
No. We are headquartered in San Diego and come to you anywhere in Riverside and San Bernardino counties for on-site work, from Ontario to the Temecula Valley; everything else runs remotely.
- II
We run a warehouse or distribution business. Where would you start?
By following orders through the operation end to end and measuring where they wait. In high-volume operations the hand-offs between systems and teams are where delays build up, so that is where we look before recommending any software.
- III
We have several sites across the region. Do you visit all of them?
We visit the sites that matter to the problem, and plan those days together with you at the start. Sites that do not need a visit are reviewed remotely with the people who run them.
- IV
How much does a consultant cost for an Inland Empire business?
Strategy and operations work is quoted per project once a first call has shown what the problem is and how many sites it touches. Where the answer is technology, Nexos starts with a free technology audit, and its fixed-scope builds start at $4,900.
- V
Can you work with Temecula Valley wineries and hospitality businesses?
Yes, and on site in the valley. A Temecula winery can be a producer, a retailer, a restaurant and an events venue at once, so the work would start by deciding which of those should carry the next stage of growth, then what the operation behind it needs — staffing, booking, inventory and the systems that tie them together.
