About the firm

A consulting firm that stays for the build.

We advise businesses on complex strategic and operational problems and help implement the solutions.

The firm

Founded in 2024, in San Diego.

Abrams & Luchanski is a strategy and technology consulting firm based in San Diego, California. We work with owner-led and mid-sized businesses on the decisions that are too consequential to guess at and too specific to outsource to a template.

The firm was built around one observation: the recommendation is usually the easy part. What separates an engagement that changed a business from one that produced a document is whether anyone stayed for the implementation. So we kept the implementation in-house, including the technology, as a division of the firm rather than a partner we refer you to.

We are deliberately small. The people who scope an engagement are the people who run it, and there is no layer between you and the person doing the analysis.

Principles

How we work.

Five rules we would rather be held to than described by. They decide what we take on, and more often what we turn down.

  • 01
    Say the useful thing

The point of an outside firm is that it can say what people inside the business already suspect but cannot raise. We would rather be direct early than agreeable and wrong.

  • 02
    Evidence before opinion

Every recommendation should trace back to something we measured, read or watched happen. Where we are extrapolating, we say so, and we show the assumption.

  • 03
    Stay for the implementation

Advice that is never implemented is not a partial success. We would rather take on fewer engagements and see each of them through the part where it gets difficult.

  • 04
Build only what has to be built

Owning a technology division makes it tempting to recommend building something. The discipline is to recommend it only when configuring, buying or simply stopping is genuinely worse.

  • 05
Leave the business able to run it

Documentation, training and handover are part of the engagement, not the phase that gets cut when the timeline slips. Our work should keep working after we leave.

Our structure

One firm, four practices, one technology division.

Advisory and implementation report into the same firm, which is the whole point: nothing is handed across a commercial boundary halfway through.

Questions

In plain terms.

The things people ask first — about the firm, about Nexos, and about how the two fit together. Answered here rather than left to be guessed at.

  • I
    What is Abrams & Luchanski?

Abrams & Luchanski is a strategy and technology consulting firm based in San Diego, California, that advises businesses on complex strategic and operational problems and helps implement the solutions — including the software, automation and AI, through its technology division, Nexos. The firm works with owner-led and mid-sized businesses on decisions that are too consequential to guess at.

  • II
    What is Nexos?

Nexos is the firm's artificial intelligence and software division. It designs and builds the custom software, AI systems, automations and data infrastructure an engagement calls for, and it has its own site at https://nexosai.net.

  • III
How are Abrams & Luchanski and Nexos related?

They are one firm. Abrams & Luchanski owns the advice and the client relationship; Nexos is its in-house technology division rather than a separate company or a partner we refer work to. Nexos works alongside Abrams & Luchanski consultants so technical solutions are designed around the business — not the other way around.

  • IV
    What does the firm do?

Three things: strategy and advisory — growth and operating strategy, financial analysis, strategic planning and transaction support; operations and transformation — process improvement, digital transformation, organizational improvement, systems design and implementation oversight; and technology and AI, where the advice is ours and the build is delivered by Nexos.

  • V
Where is the firm based, and who does it work with?

Abrams & Luchanski is based in San Diego, California, and works with businesses across the United States. The four industries we see most are professional services, construction and trades, healthcare and clinics, and manufacturing and distribution.

  • VI
    How does an engagement start?

You tell us the situation as you see it — a few sentences is plenty. We reply within one business day, usually to propose a 30-minute call, and on that call we tell you what we think the problem is and whether we are the right firm for it.

Tell us what is in front of you.

We will tell you honestly whether we are the right firm for it.
